now i know everyone has already said that this years rookie of the year will be Joseph addai, but i wouldnt count out Vince just yet.

of course addai has the stats that would show he is an excellent rookie but he went into a team that, in my opinion, should have been in the super bowl for atleast the last few seasons. Vince young however came into a young, inexpreienced team that is in the process of being rebuilt, he was thrown in and all talk was about him being the future and he has had 2 games (tonight and last week) where he played probably some of the best football i have seen in YEARs for a Titans QB, i mean the way he ran not only the ball himself but ran the offense in such a tight position against 2 of the best teams in the NFL and managed to stay calm and composed is something some QB's may not do throught their entire career, but Vince did it on 2 occassions in his rookie season.

so has Vince got a chance at winning it this year or does the league and voters prefer solid stats to show a potential R.O.T.Y instead of watching game tape?

Reggie Bush just peaked in for a look with a 4 TD performance today...the kid also has 73 receptions this year...and over 900 yards from scrimmage for a very good Saints team...maybe he will give'em a run for the money.

yeah i forgot about Bush. i think the problem with Bush is that he came out of college pipped as one of the best draft picks to come out in decades and he hasnt really shown to be what everyone expected. i fully believe he will be one of the best players of his generation, but he just seems to be very quiet in that there isnt a lot of talk about him like there is about addai. but then again my whole point of this thread was that Young isnt getting the recognition he deserves so who knows

nooooooo that couldnt possibly happen becuase you see rmjvol the Colts and Peyton Manning dont loose, they choose not to win. you see the reason why they didnt win, not loose but 'didnt win', todays game is becuase they are simply getting bored of writing that W next to every game so they thought "lets give a lesser team a chance to win a game and keep their little spirits up, what we will do is let the score go up and down for a bit and then we'll just step in and get a last minute field goal like we normally do" but i guess that didnt work out how they planned right and whats best...we sent little eli and big brother peyton crying home to momma, screw the record that peyton and harrison got today, which team can proadly say they beat both peytons back to back in 2 weeks?

noone expected Young to start this year.
critics have babbled how he wouldn't be able to scramble like he did in college. They misjudged his skills obviously, his legs, or "unique" wrist action when passing, said he wasn't accurate.
and there are still many highlights to make, this year.

oh yeah Vince has definatly silenced the critics i mean everyone thought he would slip out of the top 10 because he had an 'unusal throwing action' he didnt know how to throw the deep ball and he was to keen to tuck it in a run, well he has definatly shown that he is all of that an more. his composure under pressure, throwing the deep and short ball, running when he has to, i mean i dont think hes run at any unneccessary times. if they had an award for "Rookie Who Silenced His Critics" im betting Vince will get that right?

Young is definitely a candidate, but this has been a strong year for rookies - Addai, Colston, Bush among others have had a huge impact for their teams so far this season. This is definitely one of the better rookie classes in recent years, and it's hard to determine which is going to be named the NFL's best (or do they do seperate AFC/NFC awards?). Can't wait to see how it plays out during the rest of the season.

It is going to be hard for the judges, (whoever they are) to determine this years rookie of the year. Of all rookies, Vince is defenetly at the top......and out of all the rookie QB's, he's defenetly #1.
There are rookie qb'swith more passing yard's, passer rating, etc...
But Vince has the most wins under his belt as a starting rookie QB this year... And the W's are what matters.
I think he is #2 of all starting quarterbacks for rushing yards, behind Vick.
