Titans vs Houston

Coming off a HUGE win over the almost undefeated Indianapolis Colts, the Titans are riding a very unexpected 3 game winning streak. An added bonus is that we've knocked off both of those Manning boys in our house, the LP Woodshed.

Up next is the Titans vs Houston game for Tennessee. The Texans aren't very good this year. They've only beat the Dolphins and the Jags.

Can the Titans continue the win streak and make it to a 6-7 record with a win over the Houstan Texans?

Re: Titans vs Houston

what is most interesting about this game is that:

1. we have won the past to games we have played at home
2. the texans are having little spurts of brilliance beating the Dolphins and Jags
and 3. some could argue that the Texans are looking towards a better draft pick right now because they have nothing to play for, they arnt going to make the playoffs, unless of course ever other team in the AFC dies and there is no one left infront of them, so they may just lay back, play the game at half speed and just take the loss OR they could be really annoying and try and go for the win, even though it wont give them any benefit just to say that they totally killed any chance we have of making a Cinderella story trip to the playoffs

Re: Titans vs Houston

"trip to the playoffs" seriously man, what you smoking?

I'm not ready to go that far but I do think that we'll win against the Texans. We'd need some really serious help to make the playoffs on the wildcard.

At this moment, I'm thinking that it's entirely possible that we end the year with a .500 record. NEVER would have expected that after opening 0-5 and the Volek mess.

Re: Titans vs Houston

You can bet your bottom dollar on this game.
Vince Young will be going back to his hometown, Houston Texas.
The Texans, David Carr, is however ranked #9 in the nfl right now, passer rating wise....but they can't put points on the board.
This guy has been sacked now, 34 times....this season.
4 of those sacks against the Titans the last time we played them, back in october.

If anything, i say we go in there and run the ball down their throats the whole game. If this David Carr guy and his offense has the ball, we should try for 5 sacks this time.

Re: Titans vs Houston

with the houston game it HAS to be a win, im not being over ambitious but it has to happen, Carr is wasted in a team like the Texans because he is a good QB and may be #9 passing in the NFL but with the way our defense is playing we can destroy that in one game of football

Re: Titans vs Houston

I can't wait.....titans have been pulling off a "to be continued" series lately.
Consistant improvement.
Lets just hope it stays this way, hopefully the rest of the season.
So we can end at 9-7.

Re: Titans vs Houston

sorry i was wondering if anyone could tell me where i can issue a missing teams report? you see i support this team called the tennessee titans and in the past week they have beaten two playoff contending teams and for some reason this week they are still loosing 7-6 at the half to the Houston 'wont come close to the playoffs for another 20 years' Texans, so i was wondering if anyone could give me some information on the whereabouts of the Titans, thanks

Re: Titans vs Houston

Playing up or down to your opposition... definitely a trait of a young team.

Re: Titans vs Houston

if we win this game in the same fashion as we have done in our previous two games i say we all sign a petition to the Titans requesting free pacemakers for all Titans fans becuase this is getting to much

Re: Titans vs Houston

ok if we get a TD, not trying to jinx us but talking hypothetically, if we were to get a TD beofre the Texans get a score, do we go for the 2 point conversion or the 1? or do you think it just comes down to how much time is left on the clock? becuase the worst thing to happen right now is to beat the Giants and Colts with last minute field goals, only for the Texans to beat us with a late TD and be one of many teams to beat us by a point this season...actually we suck so forget it
