Re: Titans vs. Colts

ha ha, one of the best things about these wins so far is that it has been a total shock, at the beginnig of the seaons when we were 0-5 it was like no one cared about the team, they seemed to have given up on themseleves, and then they hold the colts to a 1 point win and suddenly everything is turned around. Vince has come into his own, we have players left, right and centre standing up to be counted and everyone is playing their hearts out and its a long shot, and ive probably jinxed us by saying this, but we could possibly be wild card contenders if just 1 loss from 2 or 3 teams goes in our favour, its not an unlikely thing to happen but you never know, this season has been so crazy we may be looking back on this in a few season as super bowl champions and thinking "that was the season, i was there when it started to turn around and everything started to fall into place!" and i GARANTEE if we get into the playoffs you can be sure i am flying over for it, be it a wild card game or division game or conferance, im going to be there screaming my lungs out!

Re: Titans vs. Colts

All I can say is that Dungy had better use everyone of his draft picks on building a defense...

does any one know, is it red or white wine that goes with crow???

Re: Titans vs. Colts

ha ha one of the great things about the wins we have had so far this season is that ive been looking at the photos from the game and watching the highlights and even got to watch the entire game against the giants and on defense in particular im seeing guys making tackles and i see their jersey number or name on the back and im thinking "who the heck are these guys?" i mean we are winning with a bunch of rookies, first year guys and nobodys that our stepping up and making the plays and i dont even know where we got them from, i spend half the game reading up on who they are, how great is that, we are a ghost team and no one knows where they heck we have come from

Lefty:

I saw most of the Colts/Ten game and I've got to say, Vince Young is one of the coolest characters I have ever seen. I don't know how successful he's going to be in the long run with how much he runs the ball but he plays like it is just a pick up game. One of the commentators said that one of the criticisms of his play is that he has too much fun and that he should be more serious. I wonder about that. I was always at my best athletically when I was loose and smiling.

The Titans defense (in last for total D)will have a difficult time stopping the Colts air and ground game. Addai could rush for 200+ and rack up a couple more TDs in this one. Mayby Marvin could get a few more tossed his way, he was a little up set that against the Eagle, the Colts had to switch to the ground game.
Marvin let the field early prior to half time and then didn't even try to make the tackle after he got pick off, he just stood there.

Colts - 31
Titans - 10

Hahahahahahahahahahah! Colts?? Who????

Re: Titans vs. Colts

Seems lately the team has pulled together as one. They count on eachother and are right behind eachother on every play. I havn't seen my titans play this hard since 1999 season. Vince has clearly stepped up and taken Steve's place. Being that the team is so young, Vince can certainly be their leader, in the same way McNair did. Alot better scrambler than Steve ever was though.
Once again, KEY to the win's lately are the WR's making the KEY catchs.
we havn't been going 3 and out much lately. Thats gives us the best chance for a win.
Our run game is usually pretty damn good, anytime we need it.

oh yeah without a doubt the team seems to becoming more united, there isnt so much a new guy/old guy or rookie/vet divide with the team and i think the reason for that is because the team has been put in a position where they HAVE to work together rather than just being on a team and doing it themseleves, what i mean is that for example in arizona the team is playing poorly so there isnt much of a need for players to work as one, but in tennessee the team is playing hard on defense and hard on offesne and i think that picture of VY, Keither BUlluck and a couple of other players holding hands and praying before the winning field goal against the Giants really shows how the team has come together.

Vince is definatly playing not only better than McNair, maybe not his passing but as an all round QB he is playing great and in the past few games he has shown us what there is to look forward to in the future and i gotta say that is definatly something to be optimistic about

one good thing is that when i was looking at the stats from the colts and giants game, you see that both teams are throwing the ball to between 5 and 7 recievers, but in the colts game for example Vince was spreading it all over the field i mean we had 10 guys catching balls in that game, 7 of which had cathes over 15 yards

but definatly the best thing is that Vince is helping us with third downs, i rememeber how frustrating it was last season when it was like we were just giving up when it came to our offense, they walk on the field and take a 3 and out, that was pretty much it, but our new "never let die" attitude is being shown when Vince SOMEHOW shoots off for a 20+ yard run on thrid down

good post 'i_know' really enjoyed it
