NY Giants @ Tennessee Titans

This game scares me as a Giants fan. They're hurting, Eli Manning is in a funk and the Titans are coming off a big road win in Philly and nearly upsetting the Baltimore Ravens two weeks ago. The Giants need a win in the WORST way and will be playing against Vince Young. If it's one thing I'm looking forward to is finally seeing the kid in the NFL. That's also one of the things I'm liking towards the Giants, playing against a rookie QB who hasn't exactly found his way just yet.

Yeah, classic upset alert kind of game. Giants are hurt. Eli looks bad. The running game was stifled on Monday. And the Titans looked might impressive in last week's win. I've got to think Tennessee has a real good shot at winning this game. What does everyone else think?

Re: NY Giants @ Tennessee Titans

the run game isnt bad, they just dont commit to the run early, and before you know it their down. Eli im off the bandwagon and till he shows me he knows what to do the first 3 quarters im against him starting. I do not belive elis problems are mechanics its his head, its the same problem steve sax had he got into the funk and he thought his way out of the problem and made more. They need to give eli less time to think and he needs to react more. thats why i suggest earlier the wvu offense no huddle spread offense many options and they have to set up in a more favorable way for him to find the open man. You see it with the giants they are a much more fluent offense in a no huddle. I also belive they need to feed tiki and shockey much earlier in the game playing tight early will eventually open the deep pass to plex. im also tired of them passing to estabalish a run game. COuglhin and huffnaggle need to go. I would say tim lewis but he you cant fire a man that doesnt have all the tools he needs to be successfull. Wait and see how they are after some of these injuires on defense are healed

Giants fans should be worried about this. TN has nothing to lose. I look for Vince to have a feild day. Him, or Travis Henry. After seeing Eli play monday...everyone knows he can't make a play under pressure. I am glad however, Giants fans can witness Vince Young, and the talent he has.

Welcome to GTG.

I'd disagree with your point about Eli not being able to play under pressure. He's led the Giants on many a 4th quarter comebacks in his young career. If anything, people criticize his ability to play well in the beginning of the game. But I'm holding out hope the Titans lackluster defense is prime for exploitation.

Re: NY Giants @ Tennessee Titans

The Giant Football Blog echo'd some great words about this game for the Giants.

"They just can't keep their mouths shut. They dare to question authority, to openly declare their discontent. And in this way, the Giants are more like a typically rebellious NBA roster than an obedient, robotic NFL team. So now we have reached that magical tipping point Sunday in Tennessee - a potential three-game losing streak that would likely mark the end of the Coughlin regime as a viable reign of intimidation.

This is not to say the Giants are likely to lose. The smart money is on these guys to turn it around in Nashville, to rediscover a balanced offense and produce some on-target spirals. Eli Manning may never justify Ernie Accorsi's draft deal, but the quarterback is more than adequate to get the job done against the Titans. Don't even think about benching Eli. It makes no sense."

Although I disagree with Coughlin being on the hot-seat...he's not going anywhere.

Re: NY Giants @ Tennessee Titans

We can all say this or that...but we all will have to wait till sunday. Regaurding Adam "im a fellon" jones....AKA pacman...He can leave plex open on purpose and pick off Eli. And watch him on punt returns....yeah punt returns.....when Eli can't convert on 3rd downs lol....just kidding

Re: NY Giants @ Tennessee Titans

we can and we will find on sunday, the one thing ive learned about this team and its been stated in this thread earlier, There is no one leading this team. I dont see how coughlin can be a discpline guy and have shockey and tiki speaking out against you. Now look in my mind you will always have shockey speak out if he doesnt get the ball, he is like keyshawn in that way. However when tiki talks badly about your coaching ability not once but twice shouldnt the maras be looking to fire couglhin.

A side note, have you guys read the wellington book yet. There is an intresting part in it where you learn that the tuna tried to come back twice and wellington told him no. Any chance his sons might bring him back next year?

Re: NY Giants @ Tennessee Titans

I am confident that the Titans will get the job done. The Giants are a really good team. A little worried about the Giants offense...hopefully we can keep their scoring to a minimum. Maybe another great game for us like we had with the Eagles last week...just Maybe

Re: NY Giants @ Tennessee Titans

This is what I'm talking about! What better way to silence all the critics then to put a 21-spot up before the first half ends. In the 2nd, Giants lead 21-0.

Titans have fumbled twice. Brandon Jacobs has two scores and Plaxico has his 7th TD catch of the season.

Will Vince Young make it a respectable game?
