| Not even the co-chairman of the NFL's competition committee is immune from punishment for criticizing an official. Titans coach Jeff Fisher was fined $12,500 for scolding an official in last weekend's 27-26 loss to Baltimore. "It didn't surprise me," Fisher said Wednesday. | Re: Coach Fisher Fine The players were giving him hell about it on the news. Razzing him about "I've had my share of fines so I don't feel too sorry for him... how much? $12,500? Ouch.. ok, maybe I feel a little sorry for him..." Fisher did the right thing, fighting for his team. But I can kinda see the NFL's side of no badmouthing the refs, even when they make a bone head call. No good solution, the NFL can't sanction coaches bad mouthing the refs but they can't allow these kind of mistakes.

| Re: Coach Fisher Fine I am not sure of the rules to this, but is there some sort of repercussion to a ref for making a wrong call. If the players and coaches get fined for saying it was a bad call, what happens to the ref that made the call? |
