| The number isn't pretty, and it's not one the Tennessee Titans like to look at, think about or discuss. The Titans, who had the top-ranked defense in 2000 and have specialized in stopping the run since 1995, are allowing more offensive yards than any team in the league. | Re: Titans - NFL's Worst Defense? Yes, they're the worst statistically in terms of yardage (Tennessee allows 372.3 ypg), but are they the NFL's worst D? No, I don't think so. As Coach Fisher says in this article, "We don't have necessarily the talent level to carry a balanced defensive plan in and so, given the opportunity over the last several weeks, we elected to spend more attention to not giving up the big plays then we did to the run game." Plus, the Titans are +8 in turnover differential. How bad could they be?
