Re: Do we ever regret letting McNair go?

no...simple enough answer, i believe we were right to get rid of McNair, yes he did a lot for us in the past and yes he was a great QB and yes it was a shame he left the way he did and under those cirumstances but we are a rebuliding team and McNair is a player set in his ways, we would have been stupid to pass up taking one of the three QB's that were in this years draft because who knows when you are going to get such a great pick with such a great diversity of QB's, i mean a pocket like Leinart and two scrambelling passers like Cutler and Young, if we had kept McNair and passed up on one of those three we might as well have given up on us winning anything for the next 3/4 years, becuase McNair was never gonna leave unless he was pushed and we needed the next generation to come through, all i would have done is drop his pay, keep him at a starter while Young develops and then drop him to second, i mena who better for Vince to learn from than his mentor right?

No, infact with Vince on the field alot of people are happier, they are more content now since they can watch the team grow instead of wallowing around.

Cool Re: Do we ever regret letting McNair go?

The Titans are a rebuilding team so they did the right thing getting rid of McNair.

I agree with Alex and Pundit...McNair had to leave the Titans in order for this Vince thing to work out. They are trying to start from the ground up again just like when they drafted "Air McNair".

As I'm not a Titans fan, I can't comment on the regret issue. But do you guys think Young would have been further in his development had McNair been around to tudor him all this time? I'm convinced there's a lot McNair could have taught the kid, had Tennessee not parted way with him.

Re: Do we ever regret letting McNair go?

No, if he had stayed at Texas another year it would have helped him more. I'm not high on the mentor/tutor thing anymore. Mac has been mentoring him for years. The Titans really had no choice in the matter Mac wanted too much money. He has not been worth 12 mil in Baltimore either.

Re: Do we ever regret letting McNair go?

Definately not, he was just holding the team down. Only thing I would have kept him for is a QB coach for VY.
