There was something sort of strange about watching Jeff Fisher and co. celebrating this win like it was Super Bowl XLI. Then you remember that it’s almost been a full calendar year since the Titans last won a game, and it all sort of makes sense.

Superfluous Sentiments was betting that we would go winless all season.

Well I'm in shock. The Titans beat the Redskins. Who would have thought. I had a mental bet with myself that the Titans would have a zero win season. Guess I was wrong... I don't really want to go to anymore games, but considering we have season tickets, I bet I HAVE to go...

Professor Stephen Bainbridge thinks Vince ain't gonna make it:

I was very high on Vince Young coming out of last year's Texas win over USC. After watching him in this game, I've got serious doubts about his future as a pro QB. His arm motion looks odd and the numerous inaccurate passes he had in this game suggest that it's a problem.

The Titans 25-22 win over the Redskins should get those calling for a house cleaning to chill out. Jeff Fisher has told us for several weeks now that his team is improving. He wasn't kidding.

So, my Redskins stunk it up at home yesterday and the Titans won their first game of the year. Were it any other team besides the Redskins, I'd be excited. But since it was the Redskins I am just bitter. I do wonder if this win will energize the fan-base this week. Maybe the Coliseum will fill up this week and we'll have an enthusiastic home crowd. That would be nice to see for a change.

Since I called the Bucs victory over Cincy, I can't much call that an upset, can I? The Redskins had no business dropping this one to the Titans. I'm normally a very superstitous person, but even I was openly discussing how the 'Skins needed to win by at least two touchdowns for their mental well-bring prior to the game. This one is inexcusable. And it's all on Gregg Williams. He better not be succeeding Joe Gibbs, is all I can say...

The Washington Redskins are in deep trouble. After bursting to a 14-3 lead they were unable to mount any offensive charge and seemingly forgot about Clinton Portis. The defense couldn't make a stop on any third-down and let Travis Henry look like Earl Campbell.
