| Fisher Inconsistent on Volek & Brown I read a comment at firecoachfisher.com that claimed Jeff Fisher was a hypocrite for the way he treated Billy Volek & the way he treated Chris Brown. Quote:
The fact that Brown, until this game, has remained a large part of the Titans plans in 2006, despite the fact that: a) he made the same trade demands that Billy Volek made, & b) Jeff Fisher made such a point of showing disdain over Volek’s trade demands, strikes me as being grossly inconsistent.
In television, this is referred to as a continuity error. But then, Jeff Fisher spends more time mugging for the cameras than trying to remember his lines.

I don't see your Volek/Brown comparison as being valid.
There's a world of difference between your backup QB (when Volek 1st wanted the trade) wanting out and one of your top running backs wanting out.
Backup QB is an all or nothing spot. You're likely going to get almost no snaps but you have to be ready to step in and take over. You can't have that person asking for a trade and giving a sub-par effort.
Brown's trade talk didn't come up until after he was 1 of 3 top RB's in rotation. There is no "rotation" at the QB spot.
Brown was out for the Colts game just like Travis Henry was out last week. Maybe Brown will come back with a huge game next week.
The Volek & Brown comparison is apples to oranges.
If Volek doesn't perform when called upon, he's screwed the entire team. You've got nowhere to go.
If Brown doesn't perform when called upon, you sit his ass on the bench.
