Coach Jeff Fisher's job won't be in jeopardy during the season no matter how things go the rest of the way, Titans owner Bud Adams indicated on Sunday.

The Titans are off to an 0-4 start and have lost seven games in a row, the franchise's longest losing streak since the 1994 Houston Oilers dropped 11 in a row.

Said Adams, laughing: "With the money they make now, if in the middle of the season you did something like that, you know $2.5 million, I can't afford $2.5 million for someone to go out there and rest on their couch or something."

The $2.5 million is half of the $5 million Fisher is scheduled to make this season. It's the last year of his contract, although the Titans hold an expensive option for an additional year.

General Manager Floyd Reese is also in the final year of his contract.

But the franchise, owned by Adams since its inception in 1959, has actually changed head coaches during the season five times.

Adams will probably change his mind when ticket sales drop. I think that he is going to make a change, but not until the end of the season.

Too bad we can't get an owner change. Yep, Bud wouldn't lie. Those that care are still waiting for those training camps out here in East Tennessee Bud told us all about when the locals were putting up a fight about appropriating state funds for his stadium.

Getting fired and distancing himself from the trainwreck is the best thing that could happen to Fisher and the rest of the staff. Buncha Goobers.

Adams isn't going anywhere, and that's too bad. He should sell the team, but he won't let go of the team until he passes away.
