EXACTLY.... Warren Moon has high ratings for attempts and completions, but in a game where he 404 completions they lost the game.

So wait... if Moon had a ton of completions and they lost the game, how exactly is that HIS fault?

I guess I am being to hard on Warren Moon, you could be the best quarterback in the league and be on a sorry ass team and that makes you a sorry ass quarterback. Warren Moon did well in Seattle after the Oilers ditched him, just like Steve McNair is doing well in Baltimore(so far).

Don't forget about Archie Manning. He was a great QB but was on those awful Saints teams.

I know that money talks and that decisions are based on that fact but my question is

DID ANYONE SEE THE GAME TODAY RAVENS V\S CHARGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe trading McNair was not the brightest thing to do.

Re: Who Wants to Fire Jeff Fisher?

Yeah, McNair's numbers weren't great, but the Ravens are undefeated with the ex-Titan at QB. As the Associated Press recap of the Chargers game said, "The Baltimore Ravens have a new formula for success: Keep the game close enough for Steve McNair to win it at the end... McNair rallied the unbeaten Ravens for a second straight week Sunday, throwing a 10-yard pass to Todd Heap with 34 seconds left to defeat the San Diego Chargers 16-13."

So what impact does this have on those who'd fire Fisher? Is he at least partially at fault for the loss of McNair, or does this exonerate him, because of the success he had with players like McNair in the past?

Unhappy Re: Who Wants to Fire Jeff Fisher?

I think Fisher should be let go. He as far as I have seen in the last years sense the almost supper bowel has been down hill. He has elected to get ride of the players that took him there the first time and now has taken the TITANS to the bottom of the barrel. No place to go but up inless he wants them to linger a while. I say lets look around for some one that may help the team instead of hurting the team.

Re: Who Wants to Fire Jeff Fisher?

I think it's time for Jeff Fisher to go. He's not losing control of the team, he lost control of the team. Some of the decisions he made, letting go Steve McNair, Billy Volek, etc. I think he has demonstrated that it's time to move on.

I could see Jeff Fisher landing on his feet at Dallas, Cleveland, or San Francisco. Another possibility is Green Bay.

Re: Who Wants to Fire Jeff Fisher?

I do not think Jeff Fisher makes those kind of decisions, it's common knowledge that he has not agreed with some of the draft picks and trades. I think he is looking to the future, he keeps working hard and staying positive and maybe his next head coaching job will be with a good team.

Re: Who Wants to Fire Jeff Fisher?

Need to ditch Floyd the Barber Reese and send Bud on an extended vacation and let the coaching staff coach. Fisher isn't exactly in the lower tier of coaches, if you check the big picture.

Bud Adams is still wondering why they don't play that George Blanda guy anymore.

Re: Who Wants to Fire Jeff Fisher?

It's not who does what as much as who is in charge. They are the one's who will take the blunt of the storm. Now they have something else to deal with, you need to keep your temper on the field. We do need to make a CHANGE. As far as I am concerned Jeff Fisher needs to be change out. I think he is a fraid to take a chance. To many has went by and he failed on helping the team score. If you don't take that chance some time in stead of kicking the ball you don't give the team a chance to show what they are made of.

Re: Who Wants to Fire Jeff Fisher?

Coach Fisher is a very good coach. He coached the Titans to a superbowl and an AFC title game in separate seasons. About three years ago everyone was singing his praises, and he had an awesome winning percentage. McNair, Mason, George, Rolle, Kearse, Matthews, and company made for a great team. They are all gone now and the roster is full of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year players. It takes at least 4 years for and NFL player to truly establish himself. The Titans are the youngest team in the league with enormous potential. Young, White, Troupe, Bennett, Givens, Jones, Hope, Bullock, Tulluck, Hill, KVB, Thornton, Haynesworth, Brandon Jones, and Starks will make for an excellent core of players in the near future. Why fire coach Fisher now and completely reverse the unseen progress they`ve made with the players in the past couple of years. If this team were led by a quality quarterback and just upgraded a few positions, they would be a hell of a team. Young will be that quarterback in due time. They will have plenty of money under the cap to sign free agents after the season because McNair will be off the payroll. I say give Fisher at least 2 more years because he gives the Titans the best chance to win.
