Jeff Fisher has stayed away from a quarterback controversy all through the Tennessee Titans’ dreadful start.
Now, team owner Bud Adams reportedly wants a change.
Adams informed Fisher he wants Vince Young to start over Kerry Collins this weekend against Jacksonville, according to the Tennessean. The Nashville newspaper cited sources Tuesday that Adams apparently told Fisher his preference after the Titans lost to New England 59-0 on Oct. 18 and became more insistent during the bye week.
A call to Adams’ Houston office was referred to the team’s media relations department in Nashville. A message was not immediately returned Tuesday.

I think he is thinking what most fans are thinking. Collins in't the sole reason the Titans are where they are, but in any team win you need a change or spark the easiest person to replace is the QB. We have seen Vince at his worse, right now a little better then Collins is playing now, and his best when he takes over a game and players around him feed off it. Collins doesn't have that up side and hasn't done enough to win a game in the first 6 games so now why not give someone else a try since it's not working. Vince has never lost 6 games in a row and this is Collins second time of leading us to a 0-4 start. The first time he was thrown in, but stats are stats.

Hopefully Jeff Fisher will leave his Peytom Manning Jersey at home Sunday! He really lost a lot of brownie points with alot of us fans because of his antics.

There are a few reasons why the Titans should start Young.

For one, if they were anything better than 2-4 right now, it would make sense to keep Collins in. You gotta go with whats working. Right now, it isn't working. If they keep this up they will not make the playoffs. They need to try somethind drastic to turn this team around and changing quarterbacks would be a good start.

Second, who do you think it most likely to be leading to Titans in 5 years, Young or Collins? Collins has 2 more years tops if he played like he did last year. Young on the other hand was their top pick out of Texas. The speedy gamechanger who was supposed to change Tennessee football. His rookie season he really showed what he could and lead the team to a good season. Something happened along the way, but I think he deserves a second chance. What better time to give him that chance then when your team is winless and is about to cross that "the season is over we have nothing to lose" line. Might as well give him the ball before they cross the line.

We still have to time regain our self-respect this season.

We just need that 1st win to get our morale back.

We are a good team - just in a horrible slump. We proved last season that we can do it.

C'mon guys you need to really "Titan" up!

Ok steelerfan - you know that I have already publicly apologized for that incident. That is probably the best that you are going to get. lol

I am really hoping that VY can help us out of this slump on Sunday.

Of course I am preparing myself to the fact that if we win, that it will be called blind luck-not good ball playing. At this point I will even accept that!!!

I know the Titans just said VY is the starter, but I hope they have been planning this the whole bye week and not just the last day or so. They could have ad 2 weeks for VY to get the timing with the WRs.

The advantage of having Young is that if you are 3rd and 4 he can run for those yards where Collins can't.
