I am very disappointed in the a Titans coaching staff again for not doing everything they can.

1- the obvious Collins having 7 turnovers in 4 games, almost 2 a game. Our defense hasn't been playing great but Collins has been playing horrible. Ten in todays game when he has gotten points and your own 30-3, I think that the time to give Vince a chance because Collins isn't getting it done. A lot of his passes have been off it's mark some. They should have brought VY in for at least 1 series to get a spark. 1 series might have been enough and you never know. We have already seen Collins turn the ball over in 2 game winning/tying games and then he did it again right before halftime right when the team needed the most.

2-Britt is a rookie, but a much bigger play maker then Gage. So I don't see why Britt isn't #2 on the depth chart since when he is in he can get open more and make bigger plays then Gage. Yes Britt is a rookie, but Gage isn't that great in the first place.

3- CJ is the main reason the offense is even moving the ball, not Collins. So why not try to get different looks and matchups with putting CJ at the slot WR (reverse, slat, screen) and get him the ball in space in different ways.


I know we have had some close games, but this one wasn't one and you have to make changes and I didn't see the Titans coaching staff made very many changes.

It may be time to give Vince Young a chance, although he says he is sticking with Collins. If the Titans don't make it to the playoffs, it's time for Fisher to go. They can bring in someone like Jon Gruden or Jason Garrett to replace Fisher.

One thing I do like about Vince is he plays with emotions and against the Jags I didn't see much emotions from either side of the ball for the Titans. Except I did see Hope and Bullocks's frustration. I just think giving Vince a try might add some emotional spark if he has a big play. If he didn't do anything then we wouldn't have been any worse then Kerry's 3 points and a bunch of 3 & out. Kerry didn't seem to get any type of urgency once the Tiatsn got down by a bunch and the Defense wasn't stopping anyone. Back in the day that is when Eddie would start yelling at people and get the team pumped up. Instead Collins would just go out there and then walk back to the bench. It would have been nice to see him talking to a WR or show some type or emotions.

I couldn't believe that VY didn't get put in yesterday after all the three and outs that were happening. I'm not sure if I want him to start against the Colts or Patriots now, but I don't see why he can't get some snaps on 3rd down where he can at least try and get the 1st down with his feet instead of just panicking...and throwing the ball out of bounds. At this point the titans need to play more desperate...can't keep saying they're not worried when they get behind early because our defense can't keep the score close enough to let us crawl back into it. I can see the titans going 0-6 heading into the bye and then Young going in to play Jacksonville for the second time. After the bye week there is a good stretch of games (San Fran, Buffalo, Houston,) where he could prove himself if he gets the chance, if we're at 0-6 at that point I don't see what the titans have to lose. At least Young is exciting to watch and I'd love to see what he and CJ can do with play actions and screens, etc. They've brought in all these 'weapons'...let VY use them.

I like that point, with CJ and VY in bootlegs, screens, and things like that because both can run. That is the type of things they should have tried with VY against the Jags when it was 30-3. With Collins I'm not excited, at least with VY I feel like we are in it and have a chance to win. Yeah VY might make some bad plays, but he can over come them and rally the team. Collins I don't see any rally.

with vince young in the game you have to defend against him running . i'm like you guys put vince in and see what can happen. collins looks tired to me. i think vince wants to play again just give him a shot.

Yeah Collins does look tired, I'm not sure why though since he can't seem to sustain a lot of drives so his time on the field is likely limited. And your right with VY on the field there's the element of him being able to take off and run, he started doing it better in the preseason. One thing about it is I don't think they can really 'call' run plays for him, they tried that in preseason and he got stuffed in a hurry. They can have it known that he's going to run...but its better if they have him sit back there for a bit and let the receivers/RBs spread out the defenders so he can run straight up the gut. Easier said than done if a team is going to blitz a lot (which I think if I were defending against Vince I would, make him throw it before he wants to and beat me through the air) but that's where a quick screen to CJ would be even more effective. Anyways, I like Jeff Fisher but sometimes I hate his stubbornness and his devotion to Kerry Collins and not willing to make the adjustment when things aren't going right...particularly when a games out of reach like in Jacksonville

i think if fisher wants to keep his job he will have to start or play vince sooner than later.

Teams are blitzing more to try and stop CJ before he can get going. When it is a pass Kerry isn't fast enough to get out of the way or do anything but throw fast or take a sack. I still like the idea about having VY and CJ quickness going different directions and seeing what defenses have to do.

your right collins is a pocket passer they need a quick play to stop the rush VR has the speed and quickness to get it done...

I think Vince should get a chance to show us something. My concern is that: what if his teammates still feel he is not really a "team" player after his actions last season.

I don't know if they will give their best for him or not - on the other hand they don't seem to be giving their best now.

I say give Vince a try. It is till early enough in the season to pull us out of the slump.

Did anyone see the titan fans in the bleachers at the Jags game Sunday? They had paperbags over their faces with eyes and mouths cut out - stating they were embarassed fans. That is sad - that fans feel they have to do that and it be shown on national TV.

Let's go Titans and get our groove back, and our pride as well!

I do agree that Sunday they didn't seem like they had much emotions (hope and bullock) but the rest just seemed to be out there but not excited or anything.

sometimes things just go wrong but they do need to find out if vince is going to man up or be a cry baby. if collins is having a bad game stick vince in to see if something will happen. now we come to the defense last year it was top rated this year they can't stop any one. as far as vince goes if turns out not to be a team player trade him, we are out a lot money on him. we got him we need to play him.

I agree with The Commish. They need to see if Vince Young can be a team player. If not, they may want to trade him. My prediction is that after this season, Vince Young will be traded to the Washington Redskins for Jason Campbell and a third round draft pick.
