Jeff Fisher has said Vince Young is the Titans #2 quarterback but who's #1?

I'm thinking that Volek doesn't last long. How many games does Volek get the start this year?

I'm going with 2 games before Volek gets yanked.

im gonna have to go for 5 games, only because i dont think Fisher will want to throw Young in to early. HOWEVER if Collins is the starter i predict only 3 games before Young takes over

I think at least 5...any less than that and I really worry about Fischer knowing what he is doing.

I am going to predict three to four games before he throws in Vince Young. You want to make sure that Young feels comfortable playing the whole game and not just a few minutes at the end of each game. You also don't want to jump start his career because he might not be ready to handle the NFL defense who will be hungry for sacks. We have compared him to Michael Vick earlier this week, which is a reasonable comparison even though Vick often gets injured when he is tackled. Lets hope that Vince Young doesn't act like one of those McFarlene action figures and thinks that he will able to jump over those defenders and make his way easily into the endzone. You cannot be quixotic in the NFL.

i think that keeping Young on the sidlines at the beginning, letting him observe the game, seeing how bad it is to get sacked when he watches Billy Volek get sacked 20 times a game for holding the ball for too long, learning from the 'expreienced' number 3 QB Kerry Collins...and then when hes seen us loose 4 of the 5 first games, THEN i think he will be ready to take over...yes im aware i am full of sarcasm and this post seems a LITTLE pesemistic but hey we have just had a 4-12 season so we cant do THAT much worse this year no matter when we see Young starting

I think he's gone I doubt the Titans want to pick up his salary while playing for another team.

i think the time to release Billy has come and gone, its to close to the opener to release him and pick up another QB, he'll definatly go next season but i think he will be sticking around for this season even if he does slip into the number 3 position. even Coach Fisher has commeneted that he wants to keep these 3 QB's for the season and Volek has seemingly given up on looking for another team, maybe reality has hit in and hes realised he wont walk into another team and start and may be a backup or third stringer.

but if Volek does go which will only be becuase he becomes the third stringer, all that would mean for the Titans is releasing him or trading him and aquiring Matt Mauck again, which i can personally say i wouldnt be to disappointed with, of course that would mean Kerry Collins would be the starter for a short period of time

I think they are listening to a few teams offers, Once he plays one game for us we are on the hook for his entire salary, we have no need for 3 QB's making over a million dollars. We don't need another QB to take Volek's roster spot 9 teams are going with 2 QB's on the roster. Personally I'd like to see him shipped to San Diego or Cleveland, he would have a better chance at starting.
