now that all but 2 roster cuts have been made, some of the cuts are pretty routine...some however have got me scratching my head thinking what the hell is going on.

Among the players cut are Quinton Ganther, Matt Mauck, Tyrone Calico and Troy Fleming? the cut of Mauck means that Fisher will not get rid of Volek at this point (just my assumption but i dont think he would risk going into the season with only 2 QB's even thought he tried that last year) the loss of Calico only really makes me think that it was a contract issue or coach Fisher has been so impressed with the recievers in pre season he is willing to risk a steady vet for them. releasing Fleming means that Ahmard Hall must be good enough to be a starter and finally cutting Ganther only means that all the praise Fisher heaped on him during pre season didnt mean much if he isnt worht a roster place

but who will be the final 2 cuts? as much as i hate to say it cos im a big fan of the guy, i think that Jarret Payton will be one of the 2 cuts, but who knows....

Tyrone Calico? Wasn't he expected to be a big part in the offense. I recall him being a good part of the offense a year or two ago.

Payton's Son Fails to Make Titans Roster

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 2) - The Tennessee Titans released running back Jarrett Payton , son of the late Walter Payton , Saturday after choosing to keep Chris Brown , Travis Henry and rookie LenDale White on the roster.

The 6-foot, 220-pound Payton was among 22 players released. The Titans didn't immediately release his name and that of linebacker Cody Spencer because they hadn't been able to contact the players
