I continue to hear even frm the UT ticket office that it's easy to get tickets for all games. Then why is it so common to see people asking for tickets?

Why don't they just go and buy tickets at Neyland on gameday?

There are usually a lot of tix for sale on the street either by scalpers or people like me (just a wife whose husband goes hunting instead of to games). You can't always buy the tickets at the stadium on game day--especially for the big games. And usually, the tickets you get from them are in the nosebleed section.

I personally would never wait until game day to try to buy tickets at the stadium for a "big" game.

For most games, there are plenty of tickets available on the street. Patsy is right about the big games, those have the potential for either crazy high prices, only nosebleed tickets available, or higher likelihood of counterfeit tickets.

For a big game, best to get tickets before you go, especially if you're coming a long way.
