The Devil Rays have the opportunity to stay clear of the AL East cellar for just the 2nd time in history. Sure, they're still one of the worst teams/franchises in pro sports and are the definition of mediocrity. However, the cellar of the AL East will be decided in a heated race (note sarcasm).
The Orioles (51-6

and Devil Rays (47-72) are fighting NOT to be the worst team in the AL East. And for the D-Rays, if they're able to finish in fourth place, it would mark the just the second time they stay clear of the cellar. The first time was two years ago under Lou Pinella in which they finished in 4th (Toronto was in last).
Can the D-Rays do it?
