I never thought I would see the day. The Tampa Bay Rays have the best record in baseball.
The Rays beat Texas 7-3 last night and are now 11 games over .500 at 31-20. They've never won more than 70 in a season, but that's fixing to change this season. According to the Associated Press, "Tampa Bay is just the second team—joining the 1903 New York Giants—to have the best mark on Memorial Day after finishing with the worst record in the big leagues the previous season (66-96)." Wow... this may be one of the most impressive turn-arounds, not just in the history of baseball, but in any sport.
