Kazmir MLB Strikeout Leader

Scott Kazmir of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays is the current MLB leader in strikeouts, and looks to have the American League title locked up.

According to RotoWire.com reports, "Kazmir got a no-decision in his final start of the season for Tampa Bay on Thursday, holding New York to one run in six innings (three hits, no walks, 10 strikeouts in 100 pitches). Kazmir took over the major league lead in strikeouts in the process with 239, passing Minnesota's Johan Santana (235) and San Diego's Jake Peavy (234)... It appears Santana will not pitch again this season; if so, Kazmir would win the AL strikeout title."
