On Monday, Tampa Bay P Scott Kazmir was named AL Co-Player of the Week, sharing the honors with Indians P Fausto Carmona.

According to the Associated Press, "Kazmir captured his second career weekly honor after going 2-0 with 13 scoreless innings in a pair of road wins at the Boston Red Sox and the Seattle Mariners... Last Monday, Kazmir threw seven stellar innings, yielding five hits and striking out 10 in a 1-0 win over the Red Sox... Already in his third full season, Kazmir is 13-8 with a 3.54 ERA in 32 starts. He is second in the AL in strikeouts with 220 in 195 2/3 innings."

It's a different type of deal than the Walker deal, but I know so many Mets fans and every time Kazmir has a good game, they cringe.
