The Tampa Bay Devil Rays have made Vanderbilt LHP David Price the #1 overall pick in the 2007 MLB Draft.

From the sound of it, Price is going to be a good solid pitcher in the bigs. He's probably the only dominant collegiate pitcher who was being considered to be #1 and most teams assumed he'd go #1 for weeks.

Depending on how soon he signs and gets into the Tampa organization, he should start in Single-A later in the Summer. He could be part of the D-Rays major league staff as soon as mid-2008.
