No one ever relizes the prospect of putting a baseball team in Vancover, which I think if Canada were to get another baseball franchise, then Vancover would be the most logical place...they're population is rising and are slowly becoming the biggest city in Canada, the weather is great during the spring and summer seasons and perfect for baseball, and im sure that there is a signifigant number of baseball fans in Vancover, who probably root for the Jays, so why not give them their own team to root for? Personally, I think a baseball team in Vancover is much more realistic then the notion of bringing a team back to montreal is....francophones are just not interested in baseball, plain and simple.

Cool Re: the disney Rays??

Just disband the franchise and put us all out of our misery.

I see you're a Yankee fan - are you a fan of the D-Rays too?

I think in a few years some franchises will be disbanded with the Florida teams on the list.

It's a sad fact, but both Fla teams are dead last in attendance for their respective leagues. And the Marlins have won 2 World Series for crying out loud!!! You would think for just that reason only that South Florida would support that team....

I've got nothing against the D-Rays personally, but whenever I see a game in Tropicana Stadium, I just want to go to sleep...Nobody goes to the games - they don't have the money to stay competitive, so what's the point of keeping them around?

Re: the disney Rays??

I definitely see your point - it's pretty bad when the Yankees are in town and the Yankee fans outnumber D-Rays fans 5-1.

The upside is that the D-Rays have great young talent, it's just having some older leadership plus a bullpen that would make the team competitive - don't know if that will ever happen, tho...
