The St. Petersburg Times reported about Ty Wigginton's ability to deliver babies. In December, his wife was a couple of weeks early but went into labor in her closet. Wigginton called 911 but the baby didn't wait and he ended up with the newborn in his arms.

The newest member to the Wigginton family is named Cannon.

My hope is that Wigginton did not have to catch a baby. He is one of the worst fielders in baseball.

Ty Wigginton is a decent athlete, but nothing special.
