Devil Rays Shopping Crawford, Baldelli If teams want a young outfielder and don't want to fork over the bigtime cash for a Carlos Lee or even one Manny Ramirez would command, they could turn their head to Tampa and look to acquire Carl Crawford (or Rocco Baldelli). That's what Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal says. "The Phillies and Marlins are among the teams pursuing Baldelli. The Angels and White Sox are among those interested in Crawford. The Devil Rays, deep in position players, would want premium young pitching in return." Interesting. Crawford has been one of the most exciting players in the game over the past few years and he doesn't get a lot of publicity for it. If a team wants to pry him away, you've got to figure a very nice young pitcher would have to dealt.

Re: Devil Rays Shopping Crawford, Baldelli TB will not trade Crawford. He is only 25, a star on the rise and is signed to a very team-friendly contract for the next several yrs. Baldelli may go and I would love it if he went to the Phils. TB has 6 really gd OF so they are looking to move one or two for pitching to support Kazmir. Crawford in LF, Baldelli in CF, B.J. Upton or Delmon Young in RF, Jonny Gomes will DH for now and they have a kid named Dukes at AAA who is gd and will be ready to go in another yr. Figure they will look to trade either Baldelli or Upton.

Re: Devil Rays Shopping Crawford, Baldelli Disagree.... no way they trade Crawford. The contract that he has with TB is so gd they would be the biggest fools on the planet to trade him, regardless of what they could get back... well maybe if it was for Johan Santana. It will be either Baldelli or Upton. They really like Young, dispite his bat throwing incident, and with Gomes coming off surgery he will DH and prove he has recovered.
