| Bucs cut Jay Fiedler Well, Jay Fiedler's career as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is over before it really got started. The Bucs cut the ex-Jets quarterback yesterday to make room for offensive tackle Cornell Green. According to the AP, "Fiedler, who signed with Tampa Bay as a free agent on June 29, is recovering from surgery on his right shoulder and had been unable to practice during training camp. His departure leaves three quarterbacks on the roster: starter Chris Simms and backups Tim Rattay and Bruce Gradkowski." Where does Fiedler go from here?

| Re: Bucs cut Jay Fiedler I'm afraid he might retire. It would be smart if the Jets re-sign him to help them with their current quarterback dilemnia. Unlike most of the Jets QBs, he has experience as a decent starting quarterback. This wasn't a smart move for the Buccaneers at all. Jay Fielder is better than Tim Rattay, and possibly Chris Simms who hasn't accomplished anything yet in the NFL. |
