| Bucs dont want Garcia back In what quickly is becoming the President’s Day Massacre, another veteran player has learned that he won’t be welcome back to his most recent place of employment. Specifically, Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia says that his agent was informed on Sunday night that the free-agent-to-be won’t be pursued by the franchise with which he spent the past two seasons. ProFootballTalk.com - BUCS DON’T WANT GARCIA BACK Anyone surprised by this?

| Re: Bucs dont want Garcia back Disappointed? Decent QB? What QB have you people been watching the past 2 seasons? Jon Gruden wasted a year of Luke McCown's development starting that hack Garcia this season. Another season has gone by and we still have no idea if Luke can have a decent career. I guess we'll find out this season. I'm sorry, but no one will ever convince me that the team could have played worse in 2008 had Luke McCown been the starter all season.

| Re: Bucs dont want Garcia back I'm sorry didn't Garcia make it to the pro bowl 1 year ago not to mention that he's finished in the top 10 in QB ratings the last two seasons. The three other guys to do that are are Tony Romo, Payton Manning and Kurt Warner. No Garcia isn't good enough to win you a super bowl but give the man some credit because the Bucs would have done alot worse without him the last two seasons. |

| Re: Bucs dont want Garcia back I think Garcia would take a Team like the Bears to the SuperBowl and Win it but we would also need some good WR (TJ) and TE (Tony Gonzalez) and a quick Back like Darren Sproles. Rotate and Balanced. |

| Re: Bucs dont want Garcia back So if the other 15 QB's in the AFC were injured and opted not to play in the Pro Bowl, and thus Brody Croyle played in the game, does that make him Pro Bowl caliber? Garcia threw 13 measly TD's the year he went to the Pro Bowl. That was because Favre, Manning and one other QB couldn't play. Garcia will get you 8 yards guaranteed every time you need 10. You may think his low INT totals are good for the team, they are in fact a detriment. Garcia would rather punt than throw the ball downfield and risk an INT. There is a difference between being smart with the ball, and just not willing to take chances. You think Gruden got fired because Ownership just didn't like his faces? Gruden loves old washed up QB's and that ultimately caused him his job. Gruden got lucky with Gannon, and Gannon lended to the false label of Gruden being an offensive genius. Gruden has had 10 QB's in Tampa, and they all looked equally as horrible in Gruden's offense. Other than Brad Johnson, Luke McCown has played the best of the other 9 QB's, yet Gruden refussed to give him a fair shot at starting. If Luke McCown was the QB in 2008, the Buccs make the playoffs. They certainly don't lose to Denver, Dallas, Atlanta and Oakland in Luke plays. |
