| I have put together a FA mock on RB's and QB's I thought that I would try my hand at something new to me I made a mock of what would happen in free Agency this year. I hope you enjoy it and let me know if you agree or diasagree. You know how much I value your Opinions. I'm only gonna give you the top five of each as a break down as to whom and where they might land up. Here it go's Running Back'S 1. Brandon Jacobs UFA, I see Brandon as one of the premiereBacks in the leauge today. B.J. will probally stay in New York Not manny other teams can afford him. There is Five out there that could make a play for him,GIANTS,TAMPA BAY,NEW ORLEANS,KANSAS CITY,AND TENNESSEE. I dont see Tennessee going for him because of their success at their running game this past year. K.C. Has the money but I dont think Jacobs would want to fall out of the SB title race for one reason, and the other is their O-Line would just get him hurt. New Orleans can afford him if they were to trade Bush in a package deal to clear his Cap money from them. But I think they will give Bush another year to heal and develop into the back they saw in his rookie year. Tampa Bay, now here is a real possibility with Williams hurt again and the Injury to Graham. With Dunn at his age It leaves them in need for a PowerBack. Jacobs hits the hole very fast. He lacks great speed but makes that up in the way he runs thru and over tacklers. Plus it would make up more room in the draft for the D-Line. Then again there is a great chance he will resign with his team mates and go on where he is comfortable. 2. Darren Sproles UFA, Now there is the type of back that Bucs is looking for. Sproles is a very fast back that does not shy away from contact. He averaged over 5 yrds a carry when he was given the ball. But I dont think the Chargers are going to let him go anywhere. As a matter of fact they are talking of letting LT move on to free up the space and the money to keep him, after all. LT is over 30 now and has been banged up a lot recently. But if they are going to move on with Tomlinson, Well here is a chance for a few teams to get a quality back via free Agency. Again the Teams that need a back are TB,NO,KC,and Jaxsonville. I just dont think he is going to go anywhere next year. 3. Derrick Ward, RFA, New York Giants A huge rushing effort by Ward in week sixteen set him up to reach the 1,000 yard mark in the final game of the season, giving the Giants two running backs to reach that mark this season. Ward made a statement in against Carolina, rushing for an astounding 215 yards on only 15 carries. He only reached triple digits in rushing twice, And he wound up averaging well over five yards per carry on the season. As a receiving back he had 41 receptions for nearly 400 more yards. Ward being twenty-eight years of age, and running backs lose steam usually after thirty, this could be his last significant contract. He may look for a team willing to expand his role... With the teams that I have already mentioned needing a quality back or he could easily stay in New York alongside Brandon Jacobs. With Jacobs also being a free agent though, it will be an interesting offseason to say the least. Not to mention Eli will be getting second guess's again. The next two backs are not Quality backs and I dont have alot of good to say about them but I'm wanting to look at the top FIVE that are available 4. Ricky Williams, UFA, Miami Dolphins Williams showed flashes of the back that he was in his early days, but he was never quite as consistent as would be expected from a former fifth overall selection. Williams is over thirty and not likely to be a true starter with any team, but he gets a mention because of his controversial past and the fact that he gave Miami an extra option on the way to a playoff berth. Look for Williams to try and land somewhere as a backup. 5. Dominic Rhodes, UFA, Indianapolis Colts Rhodes will turn thirty in a couple of weeks and it appears he will remain a backup for the remainder of his career. With Joseph Addai missing time this season, he carried the ball 152 times and turned it into 538 yards and six touchdowns. He also caught 45 passes for more than 300 yards and three touchdowns.Rhodes will provide a decent third-down back and a veteran backup for any team looking to add depth on the free agent market. OK next edition we move on to the QB'S 1. Kurt Warner UFA, A former SB and MVP winner. Warner was healthy for a change this year and had resurgent year because of it. He has his team playing for the NFC Championship. It does not hurt having two of the best receivers in football at all. He is showing what made him a champion he has managed to put the ball in some double and triple coverage and hit the bulls eye with the ball Making the Eagles try to figure out a way to cover and bring pressure on him as well. He has racked up 4,583 passing yards 30 touchdowns and only 14 int's doing it. His passing rating is 96.9 his best since 2001 not bad for a old man. It's his second highest career totals so far. There are a few teams that are in need of a QB this year The Bears,Detroit,Vikings,Washington and the Jets and yes Tampa Bay. The Jets and Washington and Detroit cant afford him, Chicago, Minnesota And Tampa could, Arizona has to choose between him and Matt Leinhart. They only have the cap space of $310,078.00. So I look for Warner to be a Bear or Viking over the Summer I don't see him coming to Tampa, (Thats a whole other story) and they did not draft Leinhart to trade off. 2. Kerry Collins UFA We are talking a 36 year old QB that took the Titans to a 13-3 record the best in the NFL. He looked like he did when he was on the Giants. Super Bowl bound again. when he was put in to replace Vince Young because his play looked like it would threaten the entire season. He Collins played pretty flawlessly right up to the play offs. At his age he is pretty much a well groomed back up QB. The Titans may still look to move forward with Young. But will do there best to give Collins a contract that will keep him there in Tennessee. 3. Jeff Garcia UFA Garcia may retire now that he is nearing Forty years of age. But the man is really the Energizer Bunny he just keeps going and going. I don't see him going anywhere He is whats kept the Buccaneers in the NFC South race. Jeff in just Twelve Games threw for over 2,700 yards and 12 Touchdowns and only six int's. As im writing this I get the News Jon Gruden and Bruce Allen were both fired today. It has to change my train of thought on Jeff Garcia.OK after regrouping my thoughts I feel the Bucs will no longer require the services of Jeff Garcia or Brian Gresie. With a new Head coach will come a new beginning at QB. Luke McCown will take over as QB a fresh set of legs youth. With that will come a period of growth. Sure he lacks in play time and he does make mistakes But that is what a H.C. does is develop a young player. He also has had some pretty good moments as well.Josh Johnson will move up to 2nd and we will draft a QB as well I know a lot of you wont agree with me on this but It does need to be done for this team to move on. 4. Matt Cassel UFA I cant say a lot here about Cassel other than he will never reach the open market. He will be Franchised never getting the chance to see what his value could be. 5. Rex Grossman UFA I would love to say some good things about him. He did lead the Bears team that reached the Super Bowl. He threw for 3,100 yards and 23 touchdowns Then again he turned the ball over 25 times that year as well. Grossman lost his starting job to Kyle Orton. And will remain a career backup QB unless he just gets flushed from the NFL all together Good luck Rex Next up will be DL and DB'S |

| Re: I have put together a FA mock on RB's and QB's What a 1-2 punch Sproles and Jacobs would be. With LT's recent injury history the past 2 seasons, you'd have to think SD won't let Sproles walk out the building. |

Got to agree...especially after come up big in the post season...they lost Michael Turner and he blew up huge in Atlanta...it is not going to happen a second time... The Charger also let go of Brees and he has had some brilliant seasons at New Orleans...so Sproles isn't going anywhere soon.

| Re: I have put together a FA mock on RB's and QB's I believe thats what he wants is to make the big money but any player can be franchised and I think they plan on letting LT go and give Sproles the money its one of those Show me the Money baby things |

| Re: I have put together a FA mock on RB's and QB's New York would be crazy to let Jacobs go. I agree Sproles wont go anywhere. I dont think Kurt Warner has it in him to do it again. If he was smart he would retire after this season. But he wont. Of course, I wasnt sure he could do it again this season. Does Ricky still owe Miami money even though he is a FA? I think he said after that was paid he was going to quit football. Again. Ward is underrated and if he gets away from Jacobs, he will shine. Collins cant do it again either. Rex Grossman is well, Rex Grossman. What a brilliant beginning and what a painful ending. He needs another career.
