Buccs will not raise ticket prices for 2009 season

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are mindful of their playoff-less season in a challenging economy, which are two reasons why the team announced Thursday it will not raise season ticket prices for the 2009 season.

"During these tough economic times, we understand the difficult situation many of our fans are facing and feel it was the right thing to do to keep our prices the same for 2009 as they were in 2008", said Bucs director of ticketing and sales Jason Layton.

General season ticket prices for the 2009 season at Raymond James Stadium will be $99, $89, $85, $75, $65, $55, $50, and $42 per game. The $42.00 general season ticket price remains one of the lowest-priced tickets in the NFL. Club seat season pricing will also remain the same for 2009.

Season ticket packages for the 2009 season will also take into account the nine games as opposed to 10 contests at Raymond James Stadium due to the Buccaneers' home game vs. the New England Patriots, which will be played in London on Oct. 25.

Tampa Bay's '09 home schedule includes games vs. Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans, Dallas, Green Bay, the New York Giants and New York Jets.

Dates and times for Tampa Bay's ‘09 preseason and regular season schedule will not be announced until April.

These prices dont sound so bad. I suppose for the $42 ones though you have to keep ducking when airplanes fly over but otherwise not so bad.
Of course, they got to keep the fans there somehow. This has been a pretty disappointing team for Bucs fans.
