Everybody wants to talk about Chris Simms. Yes, the team cut Brian Griese and handed the kid the reigns of the team. Yes, he's talented but unproven, with all of the potential in the world. Yes, he needs to start living up to it. But that can't happen without the guys on the offensive line -- the REAL story coming out of Bucs training camp, which starts on July 27.

According to this article, "The Bucs made major additions to their offensive line, bringing in guards Toniu Fonoti (Vikings) and Davin Joseph (Oklahoma) along with tackles Torrin Tucker (Cowboys) and Jeremy Trueblood (Boston College), and Jon Gruden will have to gauge how ready those reinforcements are to contribute in '06." Four new faces on the O-line? How much will they contribute to the team and, yes, to Chris Simms' success in '06?

Simms is still in over his head and will take time to develop. This team won't be ready yet.
