Plummer's grievance held this month

A hearing will be held this month to determine whether or not Jake Plummer has to pay back $7 million in bonus money he received from the Broncos. When the Bucs acquired Plummer in a trade from the Broncos in 2007, they maintain they also acquired the rights to go after that bonus money.
They have accepted that Plummer will not play for them.

Huh? He got the the bonus from the Broncos, and the Bucs think they have it coming. Not sure if I understand this.

Re: Plummer's grievance held this month

The only possible way this makes any sense is if the Bucs reimbursed the Broncos for the signing bonus when the deal was made.

All I can find out so far is that the Bucs traded a 7th round draft pick for him and then he retired. So they are out that pick and no Plummer. But still,--
