| Re: Bucs ownership issues According to this story, if -- in light of his recent strokes -- the worst should happen to Malcolm Glazer, his wife Linda could become the third female to be the principle owner of an NFL team, joining Georgia Frontiere (Rams) and Denise DeBartolo York (49ers). Doesn't seem like it'd make much of a difference from a business standpoint, though, since Edward, Joel and Bryan Glazer run the team anyway.
And how about this -- when Glazer bought the team from Hugh Culverhouse in 1995 it cost him $192 million. The Bucs franchise is now worth a reported $877 million, ninth best in the NFL. Smart investment, eh? |
