Bucs Move to 6-7 with Win Over Saints

A season of up and down play has us sitting below .500 with time running out.

Nice play against Deuce McAllister held the Saints running game in check. An unbelievable close to the first half was enough to keep our Bucs in the lead just long enough.

With the way the defense played, the Bucs Saints game gives us a glimmer of hope for making the playoffs. The offense just isn't there with any consistency.

What do you think about our chance of making the playoffs?

Bucs next few games certainly within reach...

The Bucs have been disappointing this season, to say the least. From Superbowl to so-so. But, what lies ahead does provide a glimmer of hope. First, the Texans. While they can put together good offensive *or* defensive games, they rarely ever put the two together. I'm betting on the Bucs. Then, the Falcons...(I'll try to stop laughing long enough to finish this post). With their team in tormoil and a head coach out the door, can you really expect them to win *any* more games this season? Again, Bucs have the clear advantage (I'm ingnoring any home-away advantages even though both of these games are at home). The last game at Tennessee will be a tricky one. The Titans are the kind of team that when they're hot, they're unbeatable. But when they're not hot, they could make Arizona look good. Plus, the Titans are injury-plagued this season. So really, the Tennessee game is well within the Bucs grasp. As NY Jets head coach Herman Edwards remarked before their monday night win over the Titans, "...oh yeah, they're beatable." And boy was he right. Are the Bucs a cinch for the playoffs? Of course not. But are they down and out? I wouldn't bet the farm on it...
