Bucs add Receiving Help Sign Bryant and Troupe

TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers bolstered their receiving corps on Monday, signing tight end Ben Troupe and wide receiver Antonio Bryant.

Troupe joins the Bucs after four seasons with the Tennessee Titans, where he started 29 of 55 regular season games. A second-round (40th overall) pick by the Titans in the 2004 NFL Draft, he had 106 receptions for 1,056 yards and seven touchdowns with the Titans.

Bryant played in 77 career games with 56 starts as a member of the Dallas Cowboys (2002-04), Cleveland Browns (2004-05) and San Francisco 49ers (2006). His career numbers include 250 receptions for 3,837 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also owns seven 100-yard receiving games in his career.

Buccaneers add receiving depth with Bryant, Troupe

Bryant's an interesting one. Seems to have all the potential in the world but has never turned the corner. Maybe now? Probably not.

It'll be interesting to see how he does when he is the main man at receiver.

I'm excited about this - Troupe definitely looks to be an improvement over Alex Smith at TE.....

Re: Bucs add Receiving Help Sign Bryant and Troupe

yeah tampa bay got to let young receivers play. Like Maurice stovall give michael clayton the ball too. If he drops too many passes get rid of him and the excess quaterbacks. Trade 1 or 2 for draft picks to a team that need a QB. Draft a good playmaker WR not just to be a Galooway look alike. Limas sweed or some playmaker why not take a chance on a troubled WR who was cut from the Bengals Chris Henry. If Chucky is a master mind on Offense how come Tamp aint in the top 5 on offense?
Imstarting to dislike Chucky for always bringin in old players in the twighlight of thier career. The only young impact player i saw tampa brought in last year was Cato June. Tampa aint Gruden's team in my opiniion its Monte Kiffin's. Please Give Jeff Garcia a playmaker Wr and let TE Jeramy Stevens, TE alex smith and maybe TE Ben troupe catch the ball more. I hope Luke Mcown become Jeff Garcia's Successor and trade Chris Simms.
