| Blocked kicks! I cannot believe my eyes. I tune in to watch the Bucs go down to the Panthers. That's not what's so astounding; the Panthers are certainly no pushover. What's astounding to me is that the Bucs have not one, not two, but three kicks blocked, including a very important one that would have given them a victory. This is unacceptable. It is clear that the Bucs have one of the best kickers in the game in Martin "Automatica" Gramatica; but what good can he possibly do if your line can't do their job? Special teams are one of the most important aspects of the NFL, but are rarely given the credit they deserve. Like most things, special teams are overlooked when they are played well; however, when someone makes a mistake it is usually costly, and it stands out. Bottom Line: Special teams play cost the Bucs a W in the win column. Whenever you have three kicks blocked, you just simply can't expect to win: especially not in the National Football League.
