Bucs ready to deal for Walker?

One rumor going around at the combine is that the Bucs are talking to the Denver Broncos about a deal for Javon Walker.
No one associated with either team or Walker would confirm the reports but that doesnt mean a deal isnt in the making.

Bucs Ready To Deal For Javon Walker?

I could see Garcia and Walker hooking up. Bucs need help at wide receiver position. Does anyone else see it this way?

Re: Bucs ready to deal for Walker?

How old is Walker? They already have Galloway and Hillard. Now that Gruden got an extention he should start building for the future with some young players and stop the patch job he has done since he's been in Tampa.

He's 29, so this isn't exactly a patchwork deal. They could/should get five or six more good season out of him.

Well, out of the 6 years he's been playing he's only started and played all 16 games once. The guy is always hurt. And I'm sorry, but he's about a year away from being on the wrong side of 30.

If I was the Buc's I'd say why give up a draft pick for a hurt Walker when I could get Stallworth who is just as good as Walker and couple of years younger. The Bucs need all the picks they can get. If they go after Stallworth they would not have to give up anything. Denver wants a DT or a draft pick.
