Bucs resign RB Bennett

With two weeks left before the start of free agency, the Bucs got an early jump on acquiring players as they re-signed RB Michael Bennett. Bennett was acquired in a trade with Kansas City last year after Tampa Bay lost Cadillac Williams to a season-ending knee injury. Bennett averaged 4.6 yards per carry and scored two TDs in 2007.

Re: Bucs resign RB Bennett

They are saying that Williams might not come back at all. I'm wondering if they will bring back Pittman as well and go with Graham, Bennitt, and Pittman.

It wouldn't surprise me. Graham, I believe, should be the starting tailback entering the season. Williams has been so fragile, they might have lost patience with him. I think I would've brought him back behind Graham and dumped Bennett and Pittman, but it looks like the Bucs are going in the opposite direction.

Re: Bucs resign RB Bennett

There has been local rumors that Williams knee injury was bad enough to cost him his career. They are not counting on Williams being back at all. If that is the case I think the Bucs are going to need more than just Bennett and Pittman to back up Graham. Do you agree?

Graham did well this year... but lets face it...I don't see him as a franchise back...and Williams is done...I see this team getting a quality back in rounds 3-4.

No, realistically, I think they'll be okay with that trio. They may look mid-round draft for someone, but I could see them running with those three.
