Bucs retain defensive coordinator Kiffin

Bucs re-signed defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin.
This ends any speculation that Kiffin might leave for Atlanta or Oakland to be with his son, Lane. Kiffin is expected to make at least $2 million annually over the next two years. His defense rebounded from a serious down year in 2006 by finishing second overall and No. 1 against the pass in 2007

Hmm, well, it was a good move. I thought for sure he'd be headed to work with his son, but I guess not. Probably for the best, too.

Thank God he stayed - I was also afraid his son had lured him to Oakland. Also afraid he would leave due to Gruden, like Valero did.....
