Buccaneers Are Dropping Like Flies

At this rate, Jeff Garcia will be the last remaining starter from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' training camp.

The latest injury to befall the Bucs is return specialist Mark Jones, who ruptured his patellar tendon in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to Detroit. Jones had been averaging 28.6 yards per kick return, and his loss, combined with Michael Clayton's sprained ankle, clearly has Jon Gruden so frustrated that he's slagging off on other sports.
"It's not Major League Baseball. You can't make a trade, put a guy in your lineup and say go play right field and hit fourth. No disrespect to baseball, but you've got to know the formations, you've got to know snap count, you've got to know the audible system, the 2-minute package. All the things you learn in training camp ... and things of that nature."

Re: Buccaneers Are Dropping Like Flies

Very depressing to be a Bucs fan these days after such as promising start to the season. I hate using the injury excuse, but it's looking like that's the case right now if the season goes south. We have lost players for the year in nearly every game so far, and as a consequence the depth chart is showing the effects of it....

Not an excuse suedon. Back-ups are back-ups for a reason.

(unless you are the Pats)
