Re: Tampa Bay Bucs Draft Picks

Good talent picked up by Tampa Bay in the first day. Adams is hands down the best pass rusher in the draft. Sears is an underrated left tackle with lots of experience, though some knock his lack of athletic ability. Piscitelli is a project, but has all the physical tools to be a solid starting safety in two or three years, and can probably play nickle right off the bat. Can't comment much on the kid they took in Round #3, though.

Cool Re: Tampa Bay Bucs Draft Picks

I liked their picks. You can never go wrong with a good pass rusher. And I think Sears will be good, too.

See I gotta like Piscitelli as a pick...he has great closing speed...and is a 220 lb safety that can bring it...I think they have a faster version of Lynch here...

im gonna have to agree with you on this. i like the kid and after two or three seasons of being special teams/nickel back i think he will become one of our new defensive leaders

he has all the size speed and pure althletic talent now he just needs the coaching of kiffin and he'll be set

Welcome to GoTeamsGo, Tank! What's your take on the kid Black from New Mexico?

Re: Tampa Bay Bucs Draft Picks

Tanard Jackson is a solid Cover 2 corner. He'll work out well in Tampa. What's your take on Darby in the 7th?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2007 NFL Draft Review
Kansas.com, KS - 12 hours ago
Analysis: The Bucs didn't end up with Calvin Johnson, which wasn't the end of the world for a team that can certainly use Adams' pass-rushing prowess. Adams, Piscitelli, and Black could all be rookie starters on a team with major old age issues on the defense. Sears should also be a solid addition to Tampa's youth movement on the offensive line. The Buccaneers' six second-day picks were a bit of a mixed bag. Jackson and Hamilton will both have a chance to crack the depth chart at corner, but neither is considered to have standout potential. Peterson and Hayward are defensive projects that could be situational or special teams players at best. Denman projects as a career backup at right tackle, and Darby is a long shot after an unproductive senior season at Alabama.

Bottom Line: The first day is what matters most, and in that regard, Tampa looks to have improved itself immensely.
