The Tampa Bay Bucs selected Gaines Adams, defensive end from Clemson with the fourth overall pick. They had plenty of options but decided to go with the defensive player, to try and get some young blood for Kiffin to work with.

Head coach Jon Gruden teased a move for QB Brady Quinn but went with the unsurprising pick of Adams after it was all said and done. He's the first defensive player off the board.

seriously people we have totally butt raped our defence since that beautiful 02 season and its about freakin time that we got a good defensive lineman, add to it a good ss and a good lb/fs. this has been our best draft in years and its only the end of the first day.

im gonna be the first to go ahead and predict playoffs right now! strong pickups in the offseason on both sides of the ball and young athletic defensive players, all we have to do is score a little because we will be back to our old ways of shutin people down

im also gonna predict that we give the colts there first loss in week 5
