The Tampa Bay Buccaneers entered the offseason determined to improve their pass rush, and they’re apparently willing to go beyond free agency in an effort to meet that objective.

New Orleans Saints defensive end Charles Grant is scheduled to visit One Buccaneer Place, according to NFL Network.

Grant, 28, was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent before he had the franchise tag placed on him by the Saints.

The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Grant has notched 36 career sacks since he entered the NFL in 2002 as a first-round pick out of Georgia.

Grant is the Saints' franchise player, but the Bucs are desperate enough that they might be willing to work out a deal with New Orleans to acquire the defensive end. Would that be a smart move or a mistake, in your estimation?

They probably aren't going to do it bcause they would have to give up two first round picks and they just sighned Cato June today.

I doubt hes going to end up in Tampa Bay. They have already added 3 defensive lineman this offseason (Kenny Smith, Lance Legree, and Kevin Carter) Simeon Rice should be back next season and the addition of June improves their pass rush from last year greatly.

There is for sure specualtion, but in the end I think hell be wearing a pewter and red jersey next season.
