| Bucs sign QB Jeff Garcia The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed QB Jeff Garica to a two year contract. Haven't heard a salary figure for the 37-year-old, three-time Pro Bowler just yet. "I do want to start. ... But I don't expect it to come without competition. I think competition is healthy," Garcia told reporters. "And if Jake Plummer were to show up here after I did, I welcome it. It's not a situation I'm fearful of." Good signing for Tampa Bay? I think so.

| Re: Garcia Eager To Compete For Starting Job I think its a pretty good signing for Tampa Bay. Chris Simms isnt exactly a solid starter and nor is Gradkowski. IMO the QB that looked best last season was Rattay and theres now rumors of him going to ATL. So let simms watch Garcia for a year or two then see how he does. |
