The Bucaneers gave FB Mike Alstott a new one year deal, around the $1.5 million mark. This move may surprise some but I think the 2007 season will almost be certain to be his final one (if not in the NFL, in Tampa).

Any Tampa fans here surprised Alstott is coming back?

Good move...if he can't run like he once did, he is still a good blocking back that can catch a pass or two... and Tampa isn't exactly high on offensive talent.

I don't know, Goth... 250 yards in the past 2 seasons combined. Is that worth $1.5 million?

I don't get to watch them too much. Is he still good in goal line situations? If he can get them into the end zone, it will be worth it.

Last season was a bad one for them. I know they're hoping they can draft Calvin Johnson.
