Derrick Brooks & Bucs Free-Agents

Thank goodness the Bucs managed to work it so that linebacker Derrick Brooks would be able to stay with the team. They took a lot of heat in the past when they parted ways with some of their defensive mainstays like Warren Sapp and John Lynch.

By reworking Brooks deal, they not only kept their best defensive player, but also freed up enough cap room to pursue some of their other free agents, including Simeon Rice, Mike Alstott and Brian Griese. Which of those guys should now become Tampa Bay's top priority? Or do you let them all walk and play the free agent market?

Alstott, although overrated in some senses, is a guy the Bucs need. He's a touchdown plow for Williams. Heck, Alstott is a touchdown guy himself. No one wants to tackle that guy. He's the reason "Cadillac" Williams ran the ball so well his rookie year.

Re: Derrick Brooks & Bucs Free-Agents

Here's a list of Tampa Bay free agents, but it seems to be out of date. They've already resigned Chris Simms, right?

Unrestricted
------------
Mike Alstott, fb
Juran Bolden, cb
Matt Bryant, pk
Jameel Cook, fb
Ike Hilliard, wr
Chris Hovan, dt
Dexter Jackson, s
Wesly Mallard, lb
Dave Moore, te
Tim Rattay, qb
Matt Stinchcomb, g
Kenyatta Walker, t

Restricted
----------
Torrie Cox, cb
Sean Mahan, g
Chris Simms, qb

Also missing from this list is Simeon Rice.

So who do the Bucs keep, and who winds up going elsewhere?
