The Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought back memories of seasons past with a superb defensive performance.

Linebacker Derrick Brooks returned one of four interceptions by the Buccaneers for a touchdown in a 22-7 victory over the Cleveland Browns in an interconference game.

With the Bucs leading, 12-0, the nine-time Pro Bowl linebacker intercepted a pass by Derek Anderson, who was hit as he threw, and returned it 21 yards.

It was Brooks' eighth career interception return for a touchdown.

Tim Rattay, making his first start of the season, completed 16-of-26 passes for 212 yards with one interception for the Bucs (4-11).

Nothing cures a team's woes like facing the Browns. Tampa's not good, but they sure played well on Sunday, holding Derek Anderson to 10-of-27 passes for 123 yards and knocking him out of the game in the fourth quarter. Still a little life left in this Buccaneers defense, eh?
