I wish they would just be honest with us the fans and tell us at what point did they start playing to win the NFL draft? Because the only thing worse at the moment is to be a Carolina Fan whose team was picked to be in the Superbowl and they won't even make the playoffs. The NFC South is pathetic this year.

Well, I don't think its a case of the Bucs not trying. But... their QB's been out with a ruptured spleen, Cadillac Williams has not run well this year, their offensive line needs a major overhaul and the defense is getting old. There's a lot of work to be done on this team, and questions about whether or not the head coach will be there to do it. I'm fully expecting a new head coach and a lot of roster changes in Tampa before next season, how about you? And I honestly think they'll wind up parting was with both Barber and Brooks, as part of a cap purge/youth movement.

It'll be defense, that much I'm sure of. Exactly who depends on what they do with Brooks, Rice and Barber. I'm thinking right now it'll be Leon Hall, the CB out of Michigan, but it just as easily could be Adams of Clemson, LeRon Landry of LSU, H.B. Blades, Pitcock, Moses... all depends who they have tops on their board right now. Now, of those guys, I'm probably highest on Landry, but I don't think a safety goes this high.

Let's assume Quinn and Russell go 1 and 2. The Bucs will pick 3 or 4 I believe. So they could realistically have a shot at Calvin Johnson, Gaines Adams or Joe Thomas. A bigtime receiver, a bigtime pass rusher or the best o-lineman in the draft...who should they take?

Come on, they should take an o-lineman or a quarterback. Get that choker Simms out of there. He cost us a national championship at Texas, he won't bring any January success to the Bucs.
