Gradkowski's obvious struggles over the last month -- he's thrown eight interceptions and averaged just 161.5 yards through the air during Tampa Bay's four most recent games -- has led to speculation that the rookie may soon lose his starting job. Gruden reiterated during his Monday press conference, however, that a change was not imminent.
'I don't foresee a quarterback change,' said Gruden. 'There were some things that Bruce did well in the game and there are some things that he obviously didn't do well. We had five balls dropped, some game-changing drops. We have to play a lot better as an offensive football team. The quarterback obviously gets a lot of the credit when things go good and when things go bad. It is a work in progress and obviously there is a lot of work to be done.'
Tampa Bay also has Tim Rattay, who started 16 games under center for San Francisco from 2003-05, and former Browns' signal-caller Luke McCown on the active roster. Chris Simms, the team's starting quarterback at the beginning of the season, is out for the year because of a ruptured spleen.
