When I click the quick reply button on any thread it doesn't activate the quick reply box at the bottom. It quotes the reply that I clicked the button on?

Re: quick reply

I don't know how it's supposed to work, so I can't help. But it's always been my understanding when you quick reply to a post that that post is "quoted" (if the "quote the post" check box is checked) and you are taken to the quick reply panel to type your reply.

Is it supposed to work differently?

Re: quick reply

In the lower right corner of each post there are 4 icons. The one furthest to the right is the "Quick Reply" button. If you click on that it will move your cursor to the "Quick reply" box at the bottom of the page. Basically you accomplish the same thing by hitting the "Quote" button in the post. Sort of a long way, redundant feature.

Re: quick reply

It doesnt quote the message unless you click on the Quote message reply in the options box in the quick reply window.
Kinda dumb, but thats the way it is.

it must be working differently for you than for the rest of us.

I just clicked the "Quote" button and it took me to the "Reply to Thread" page. That's were I'm writing this note.

before that when I clicked the "Quick Reply" button it took me to the Quick Reply panel at the bottom of the page I was on.

Those are two different places. If there's someplace where that is defined that you can manipulate, then it has to be in your profile. Otherwise I can't see how you are being treated any differently than anyone else. Not doubting you, just I don't see anyplace where your ID is handled differently.

This is in the quick reply box, after I clicked the quick reply icon. The option quote message in reply is checked. If you click on Go advanced in the quick reply box, it takes you to the reply to thread page.
Its just to confuse you Mike.
