I have no idea who the AD is for NHS but I know they have a school run myspace page as well as one run by the football team and a website. I am really loving the idea. You could tell based on some other posts the we were not the only people who were interested.

I know exactly how you feel I go to Newton but I like to support Alcovy (covington, ga) and Nease(Jacksonville, fl) even though i don't go there. way i see it is its a free country and people die every day to express myself and i won't let them die in vain. I do support newton as well

but the only reason you cheer for alcovy is because newton sucks. Oh well. I've tried and never will understand the mind of the bandwagon fan. I just think my team is my team even if they suck. I have always been a Falcons fan even when they are bad, same goes for UGA, Jeff Gordon, and Rowdy Busch.

still if we had a high school forum, than we would have an appropriate place to discuss that.

We appreciate any interest that you can get started but from my perspective I would make these suggestions to you in your efforts to get them onboard. Who ever you talk with make sure that you invite them to view the site first. I believe it is important that they see what we have versus just hearing about it. Suggest to them that they examine our forum rules. have them note that we post about sports versus it being a place for teens to talk about other topics. We are a spam free site and well moderated. Also suggest to them that their school will have it's own sub forum under a soon to be created "High School Sports" forum. They would be able to talk about past and upcoming sporting events and issues as they pertain to their school.

These are just my thoughts at this point and if there are others with other ideas now is the time to bering them forward for discussion here at GTG. I feel we all need to be on the same page with this idea.

This is going to take some work I believe. As far as I know, its something pretty new.

here's the plan as i see it .... we write to High Schools .... principal/ad/coach .. whoever you can find an email addy for .... request an interview with the Head Football coach and/or team captain ..... if they agree, get the contact info for the individual(s) to be interviewed .... send them the standard 20-25 questions ..... let them know they need only answer the questions they wish .. also tell them there is no rush ... when you get the answers, let them know they will be posted here and you would love for them and their school mates to come here and talk up there school

simple as that ....... i would suggest maybe starting with schools near you so when you email them you can mention the fact you live close-by ... also wouldnt hurt to mention that this will get them and their school some national attention

well ty .... i only put about 10 mins of thought into them as i typed them out ... so i know there are likely better ones .... anyone can feel free to add to them or even replace some that i have ...... i dont think i would mae it more then 30, as i wouldnt want the interviewee to feel too overwhelmed

first ... i would say there are more then 5,000 high schools in the country ... if 1/4 of them have football thats 1,250 .... plenty to keep us busy for a long time

second ... yes once football season is done we can go to other sports like basketball and hockey
