I think having a technical assistance forum would be great on here. There's a lot of really smart and computer savy gentlemen and ladies on this site who can answer each other's questions and help understand the internet better. I myself have a few questions plus computer talk is always interesting and sometimes a simple suggestion from someone really helps out your PC or laptop. So what about it Go Teams Go brass? Do you think this idea is good? If so or even if not can someone tell me what a Wi-Fi is? They said it's good to have one to prevent someone from stealing files on your PC and general computer security. I just have internet stuff and downloading John Lee Hooker and Led Zeppelin but my wife does keep some sensitive information about her job that she needs to store in computer files. I don't even know what a Wi-Fi is!

Easiest way to find out what Wi-Fi is/means is to "Google" search it. To prevent someone from stealing your information you need a "secure router" Mine is set up so that no one without a password can even see my wireless set-up. If you were to drive by my home with a laptop computer you might find some unsecure wireless networks in my neighborhood but mine would appear invisible.

As far as a techie corner ... probably will not happen. Our mission is to discuss sports and for the most part that is where we try to stay. On occasion we do get off topic and chat about other issues but we have no designated place for non-sports issues.

Routers are all the same. Making it secure is done in the setup process.
